Online Preliminary Submission by December 1, 2017

The green icon labeled "Preliminary Dropbox" at the bottom of this page will lead you to the Rice University portal for Acceptd, an online repository for preliminary audition materials. There is a $24 fee to use this service.

Required preliminary audition

  • Preliminary submission is by video which will include at least one song each in English, French and German plus three operatic or oratorio arias of your choice. One of those selections should represent the Baroque period.

If you haven't heard from us by January 5, 2018, please email us.

Required graduate live audition

  • The applicant will prepare a program of 30 minutes in duration to include four languages and a variety of art songs, operatic or oratorio arias which must include Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and music composed from 1950 to the present. The program must be performed from memory.

Live audition dates are January 19, 20, 26, 27 and February 2, 2018
