Tenor Trombone graduate live audition requirements

» One Sonata by a Baroque composer such as Galliard, Marcello, Handel, Vivaldi, Telemann or Corelli
» One of the following: Dutilleux Chorale, Cadence et Fugato; Grondahl Concerto; Larsson Concertino; Solo of your choice of comparable difficulty
» Orchestral Excerpts: Mozart Tuba Mirum from Requiem; Ravel Trombone Solo from Bolero; Berlioz Hungarian March (2nd trombone part); Schumann Symphony No. 3, "Rhenisch" 4th mvt. (1st trombone part); Mahler Symphony No. 3, trombone solos from 1st mvt.; Wagner Ride of the Valkyries
» Major and Minor Scales and Arpeggios, two octaves
» Sight Reading to include Tenor and Alto Clefs

Bass Trombone graduate live audition requirements

» One Sonata by a Baroque composer such as Galliard, Marcello, Handel, Vivaldi, Telemann or Corelli, or one of Bach's Suites for solo 'Cello
» One of the following: Bozza New Orleans; Pilss Concerto; Ritter-George Concerto; Solo of your choice of comparable difficulty
» Orchestral Excerpts: Haydn Achieved is the Glorious Work from The Creation; Schumann Symphony No. 3, "Rhenisch" 4th mvt.; Berlioz Hungarian March; Strauss Ein Heldenleben; Wagner Entry of the Gods into Valhalla from Das Rheingold
» Major and Minor Scales and Arpeggios, two octaves
» Sight Reading to include Tenor Clef
