The green icon labeled "Preliminary Dropbox" at the bottom of this page will lead you to the Rice University portal for Acceptd, an online repository for preliminary audition materials. There is a $24 fee to use this service.

Required preliminary repertoire is by video submission

  • One movement of a Bach solo sonata or partita
  • One movement of a concerto 

These works should be performed from memory.

If you have not heard from us by January 5, 2018, please email us.

Required graduate live audition repertoire

  • Two contrasting movements of Bach
  • Complete first movement of a major concerto with cadenza, where applicable
  • Two works of the candidate's choice, one of which is a brilliant concert piece, displaying technical accomplishment and virtuosity

These works should be performed from memory. No accompanist is required for the audition.

Live auditions will be held January 31, February 7, 12, 13 and 14, 2018
