| UPBEAT
PROGRAM Upbeat is the designation given to the unusually gifted and talented pupils who study with Shepherd School faculty and staff members. The Upbeat program consists of private instrumental instruction and may include chamber music participation, theory and ear training, and music history. Students desiring entrance to the Upbeat area must prepare an audition consisting of two or three pieces in contrasting style, then contact the faculty or staff teacher and schedule an audition. Acceptance with a faculty member is contingent upon the quality of the audition and the discretion of the faculty member. |
