Online Preliminary Submission by December 1, 2016

The green icon labeled "Preliminary Dropbox" at the bottom of this page will lead you to the Rice University portal for Acceptd, an online repository for preliminary audition materials. There is a $24 fee to use this service.

Preliminary submission is by audio or video (video preferred)

» Two contrasting movements from a standard solo work (such as a Bach sonata), or one standard work with contrasting sections (such as the Griffes Poem or the Dutilleux Sonatine), preferably recorded with accompaniment

» Two contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice

Required undergraduate live audition repertoire

» A Baroque work

» A Classical or Romantic work

» A work from the 20th or 21st century

» Four standard orchestral excerpts of your choice

» You may choose to play only one movement from a composition with multiple movements of the Baroque, Classical/Romantic, and 20th/21st century works. One work should be memorized.

Live auditions will be held January 23, 30 and February 1, 2017.
