Tenor Trombone required undergraduate live audition repertoire

  • Two contrasting solo pieces which demonstrate tone quality, musicianship, technique and range
  • Orchestral Excerpts:

    -Mozart Tuba Mirum from Requiem

    -Ravel Trombone Solo from Bolero

    -Wagner Ride of the Valkyries

  • Major Scales two octaves
  • Sight reading (may include Tenor Clef)

Bass Trombone required undergraduate live audition repertoire

  • Two contrasting solo pieces which demonstrate tone quality, musicianship, technique and range
  • Orchestral Excerpts:

    -Haydn Achieved is the Glorious Work from The Creation

    -Schumann Symphony No. 3, "Rhenisch" 4th mvt.

    -Berlioz Hungarian March

  • Major Scales two octaves
  • Sight reading (may include Tenor Clef)
