Visitor Information

Located on the southwest side of Rice University’s campus, the Shepherd School of Music is best reached by using Campus Entrance 18 at the intersection of Rice Blvd. and Stadium Rd/Entrance 18 Rd.

The Shepherd School of Music has numerous performance spaces spread between two adjacent buildings, Alice Pratt Brown Hall and Brockman Hall for Opera. Morrison Theater, Patrons' Suite, and the Dean's Rehearsal Hall are located in Brockman Hall for Opera. Stude Concert Hall, Duncan Recital Hall, Hirsch Orchestra Rehearsal Hall, and Wortham Theatre are located in Alice Pratt Brown Hall.
