Internationally renowned American pianist and pedagogue Victor Rosenbaum performs a deeply intimate recital of profound, valedictory late works by three Viennese masters. The program opens with Beethoven’s Bagatelles, Op. 126, his emotionally expansive final piano compositions, followed by the melancholic, richly textured Klavierstücke, Op. 119 of Brahms. The evening culminates in Schubert’s monumental Sonata in B-flat, D 960, a masterpiece of lyricism and transcendent beauty written just months before his death.
