$2 visitor parking
The $2 flat rate per/entry/day visitor parking is in the large Greenbriar Lot, west of the football stadium, for people visiting Rice for meetings, events, activities, and business. Enter the lot from Greenbriar Blvd at campus Entrance 13A or 13B or off of Rice Blvd at entrance 16.
Arts @Rice Parking Card
Rice University offers a special parking card for visitors attending performances at The Shepherd School of Music. This card costs $50 and gives the user access to the West Lot 2 (or West Lot 3 if 2 is full) for one semester. It is only valid after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends and holidays. These special cards are available at the Rice University Parking Office.
Machines at the entrance gates will instruct the driver to insert a credit card (American Express, VISA, MasterCard or Discover). When the gate opens, the computer’s “parking meter” begins. Upon leaving, the visitor drives to the exit gate and inserts the same credit card. It is very important to use the same credit card used at entry while exiting, otherwise the computer will not recognize the card. The gate will open in approximately 2 seconds, at which time the meter stops. The computer calculates the time, briefly shows the amount, and automatically bills the credit card.
