Biography
Marking an exciting step into the world of opera, Colleen Doherty serves as the Shepherd School of Music’s Lighting Supervisor for Brockman Hall for Opera, with guest appearances in Alice Pratt Brown Hall. She oversees the overall maintenance of the lighting equipment in the rehearsal and performance spaces as well as lighting installations for the Opera Productions in the Morrison Theater. With over 10 years of experience in the theatrical lighting world, including stints at the Glimmerglass Opera Festival and Utah Shakespeare Festival, Colleen hopes to use her experiences and expertise to assist and elevate the students' experience here at Rice.
