Biography

Praised for the “vast and expressive atmosphere” of his playing (New York Classical Review), pianist Corey Silberstein enjoys a multifaceted career as a collaborative performer, teacher, and coach. He has partnered with some of the top instrumentalists and vocalists of his generation at the Tanglewood Music Center, Aspen Music Festival, and Music Academy of the West. Notable recent performances include his New York recital debut alongside mezzo-soprano Bella Adamova (BBC Proms, Czech National Theatre), as well his Carnegie Hall debut as part of the SongStudio program under the direction of Anthony Roth Costanzo.

Corey holds a DMA in Accompanying and Chamber Music from the Eastman School of Music, where he was the teaching assistant of pioneering collaborative pianist Jean Barr. He held the position of Staff Collaborative Pianist at Luther College from 2020-2024, where he taught courses in accompanying and music theory alongside his performing duties. In his current position as Artist Collaborator at Rice University, he performs primarily with the studios of David Chan (violin) and Elizabeth Freimuth (French horn).
