Biography
Juan Araniva serves as a Security Specialist with the Rice University Police Department for the Shepherd School of Music, assisting with key access support and performing nightly building security checks to help keep the campus safe and welcoming. Previously, Juan served as Lead Coordinator for the Rice’s Transportation Department, where he managed daily operations and supported campus mobility initiatives.
With a background as a CDL operator, Juan brings discipline, situational awareness, and a strong safety-first mindset to his work. He values teamwork and takes pride in supporting students, faculty, and staff.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active in the Houston community.
