Biography
Digital Communications Manager Lauren Ross handles all digital communications for the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, including social media, email marketing, website content, and multimedia storytelling. Notably, she helped orchestrate the digital marketing campaigns for the school’s 50th anniversary, including the new historical timeline, commemorative magazine, and documentary-style video.
Before coming to the Shepherd School, Lauren worked as Marketing & Events Manager at Ars Lyrica Houston, where her marketing campaigns significantly expanded website traffic, social media engagement, and audience growth. Outside of Rice, Lauren serves as a Houston Symphony Community-Embedded Musician Teaching Artist, leading the En Armonía program for violin students of the Segundo Barrio Children’s Chorus.
A high-demand violist and former DACAMERA Young Artist, Lauren has performed internationally across France, Korea, and Canada. She holds a dual degree from Rice University, where she studied Religion and Viola Performance with Professor Ivo-Jan van der Werff.
