Biography

Lexi Phillips serves as the Graduate Student Administrator at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. She is the go-to person for student academic support and acts as the liaison to the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies office, the Office of International Students and Scholars, and the Registrar’s Office. She welcomes all graduate students and faculty who seek assistance, guidance, or references to campus resources.

Lexi previously served as the Graduate and Undergraduate Program Administrator in Rice University's Department of Economics. Prior to joining Rice, she taught film post-production at the New York Film Academy and worked as an independent filmmaker. Notably, her 2022 feature length documentary earned awards at the Art of Recovery Film Festival, Cannes World Film Festival, and Manhattan Film Festival, including Best Film.

She holds a B.A. in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of North Texas and an M.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Houston.
