L’Histoire de Pinocchio is a "musical pantomime and magic lantern show" depicting the events in the classic book by Carlo Collodi. Commissioned by a group of virtuoso musicians living and working in Italy, led by clarinetist Rocco Parisi, Arthur Gottschalk teamed up with a leading AI scholar, neuroscientist and painter Frank Larkey, to create visual scenes that would bring the events and their intrinsic moral and ethical meanings to life through a process they developed, in collaboration with an AI agent named Onto, that they called “see-realism”. The production will be directed by famed music theater producer Buck Ross.

The production will be followed by a short illustrated lecture by Arthur Gottschalk and Frank Larkey about the process they developed for using artificial intelligence as an aesthetic collaborator, rather than as a content generator.
