Hear from Nigerian-born Odili Donald Odita, the latest artist commissioned for the Rice Public Art collection. Odita’s transformative, large-scale mural, Meeting Place / Painting with Changing Parts, installed in Alice Pratt Brown Hall at the Shepherd School of Music, responds to the building’s focus on music, the architecture on campus, and the adjacent James Turrell Skyspace.
Odita’s free and public talk in room 1133 at the Shepherd School will start at 5 p.m. and will be followed by a reception from 6 - 7 p.m.
