Gary A. Smith Teaching Studio

The Gary A. Smith Studio is one of the largest faculty studios in the building. All faculty studios have wood flooring for maximum acoustic reflection. The air handling/ventilation system in the ceiling is extremely quiet to minimize background noise and maximize the acoustic response in the room. The lighting reflects up onto the ceiling rather than down on the heads of those in the room or into their eyes; this is much more appropriate for the kind of activities that will take place in the faculty studios.
