- MAY NOT INCLUDE: remedial courses; extra hours of required courses; undergraduate music theory and music history courses; more than 3 hours Independent Studies; any course taken for pass/fail credit.
**Performance:
Performance hours may be satisfied by any combination for private instrumental or vocal study, classes in conducting or score reading, or performance in ensembles or chamber music. Piano lessons are strongly recommended until proficiency is proven and will count towards the performance requirement. NOTE: Some of these courses may result in additional fees.
