The deadline: December 1
The Bachelor of Music is a four-year degree. The curriculum emphasizes intensive work with world-class faculty through lessons, coachings, and research, and offers an array of performance opportunities in large ensembles, chamber groups, and solo settings.
There is a two-part process to be considered for undergraduate admission to the Shepherd School of Music: an application to Rice University and a preliminary submission or audition profile form due by December 1. Music applicants must select Music as the academic school on their Rice application to be considered for a live audition. The preliminary submission includes a prescreening audition or requirement and completing the Shepherd School of Music Financial Assistance Application. The Shepherd School of Music does not admit through Early Decision I or II or Questbridge.
