Audition Requirements
Online Preliminary Submission by December 1, 2022 by 11:59 PM (EST)
Multiple uploaded files of your preliminary requirements are acceptable. If you haven't heard from us by January 6, 2023, please email us.
Required preliminary repertoire is by video submission
- Preliminary submission will include at least one song each in English, French and German plus three operatic or oratorio arias of your choice. One of those selections should represent the Baroque period.
Required graduate live audition
- The applicant will prepare a program of 30 minutes in duration to include four languages and a variety of art songs, operatic or oratorio arias which must include Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and music composed from 1950 to the present. Our faculty supports and recommends that each candidate include repertoire from underrepresented composers if possible.The program must be performed from memory.
As of December 20: Auditions on January 20, 21, and February 3, 2023 are full. Auditions are available on January 27 and 28.
