The Campanile Orchestra is a symphony orchestra made up of talented non-music majors and members of the greater Rice community who wish to continue their orchestral activities. The group plays works from the standard literature and meets on Saturdays from 10:00 am-1:00 pm. The orchestra performs two concerts per academic year. The first rehearsal will be on Saturday, August 31.
Audition Information
Material Requirements:
- Strings: Prepare two 3-octave scales of your choice. Prepare two contrasting selections.
You do not need to have an accompanist. - Winds: Prepare two 2-octave scales of your choice. Prepare two contrasting selections.
You do not need to have an accompanist. - Percussion: Prepare a selection on timpani, marimba, and snare drum.

Please fill out the following AUDITION FORM that will include a place to upload your video recording. Remember to state your name at the beginning of the recording.
Audition Deadline for Fall Semester:
The deadline for audition submission is Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Any inquiries after the deadline should be directed to Dr. Joseph Kneer and will be addressed on a case by case basis.
Concerts
Typically, there is one concert per semester.
