Percussion Department
The Percussion Studio at The Shepherd School of Music offers undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate degrees in music. A small program with a focus on performance affords all students, regardless of degree level, with numerous music opportunities. Students play daily in Orchestra or Chamber Orchestra, as well as percussion ensemble, culminating in concert and recital performances each semester. With repertoire programming that includes every major work for percussion, students are given a strong foundation on which to build.

Harp Studies
Harp studies at the Shepherd School award a Bachelor and Master of Music degree upon completion. The Artist Diploma is offered as well. In addition to a comprehensive core curriculum, harp students benefit from extensive performance exposure through orchestral and chamber music opportunities and individualized attention.
Following the pattern of her primary mentor, Alice Chalifoux, Paula Page combines her performance career as former Principal Harp of the Houston Symphony and teaching experience at several universities and music festivals. Her experience is an invaluable resource to her students. Graduates of the Shepherd School Harp Studio are assuming various posts with orchestra and chamber music ensembles as well as with notable educational institutions.
